Kingdom Baptist Church supports a number of causes and organizations in the Fredericksburg area and around the world.
The Thurman Brisben Center is our area homeless shelter - dedicated to helping people regain self-sufficiency. Every month KBC serves a hot meal (breakfast, lunch, or dinner) to those staying at the shelter. At Christmastime, supplies are collected under our Missions Tree for the center. We are thankful for the opportunity to serve the wonderful people at Thurman Brisben.
Choices is our area women's center committed to providing medical services related to pregnancy diagnosis. Services include free pregnancy testing, free ultrasound confirmation, medical consultation, adoption referrals, post-abortion support, education about abortion and abortion alternatives, parenting classes, a 24 hour helpline and more. Choices is standing for life. Description partially taken from website
For over 12 years, Kingdom Baptist Church has participated in the ministry of Operation Christmas Child - not only preparing Christmas boxes for children all over the world - but sending volunteer teams to work in the Baltimore, Maryland distribution center, inspecting, filling, securing, and packaging the boxes for transport. Those boxes filled with toys, school supplies and hygiene items are then flown worldwide to give joy to millions of boys and girls. Franklin Graham is the President and CEO of Samaritan's Purse.
